That seems unlikely. The only time I've seen anything similar is when ZRH was a mess due to large amounts of snow induced IRROP. LX did then fill the middle seats, but that seemed reasonable at the time rather than have more pax than necessary stranded at ZRH. I was put into one of those seats, and it did annoy the chap to my left.
