It will be very slightly more difficult for Euro Y flyers. 20 segments instead of 15 for Silver, 36 instead of 30 for Gold. But it's not a massive difference and still miles better than M&M for example (30 segments for Silver/FTL, no segment qualification for Gold/SEN. Even though FTL is ever so slighty more useful. OTOH *A/LHG doesn't give free bags even to HONs on light fares...).
The advantage for mix flyers will be there though. Single 4 segment R/T in J will now put you halfway there. A long haul flight also has more bearing.

I don't know. I don't have it and don't find it all that important. I can usually board towards the front of the non-priority group and it's always been good enough so far. Lounges can help, but they are not critical I think.
The biggest thing would be priority security, where implemented.
