Introduction
This report is for travel in Dec 2017. I was travelling to Sydney via Bangkok on Thai Airways. Thai Smile code-shares with Thai Airways on Mumbai - Bangkok route.
Queue to check travel details
Arrived at the airport early , being peak time at Mumbai.
Check-In, Security and Immigration
Having arrived 3 hrs before flight. There were 4 passengers ahead for check-in. I was travelling light got my bag weighed and received my boarding pass all the way to Sydney. Security was next, all counters were full with lines being 15 people deep. After security was immigration. It took a good 1 hr to complete the immigration, even though all counters were operating.
Departure Area
After completing immigration, passed through the duty-free. I didn't make any purchase, skipped the food court as I had a good dinner before coming to airport.
Decided to head towards the gate.

Departure was through gate 69. There was still time for the gate to open.
Waiting area
Decided to charge my phone and laptop. There was lot of space to sit.
Boarding
Soon boarding was called, passport and boarding pass was checked. Walking through the aerobridge. Watch video for boarding.

Once on board, settled in my seat. Neighbouring seat was empty. Aisle seat was occupied by a Korean guy. Had a chat about his stay in India, Korea. Was travelling to Bangkok for R&R.

Pushback commenced soon after boarding was completed. The flight was 80 percent full, mostly holiday makers to Thailand.

After a long taxi, departure was from runway 27.

Cabin service began soon on reaching cruising altitude with dinner service.
Dinner Packing

Option was chicken or fish. I selected the chicken. Dinner was Chicken, Vegs and rice. For the drinks it was coke or other fizzies. Alcohol was not available on this flight.
Rest Time
With a long day ahead. Decided to get some sleep. Cabin was darkened after dinner, pulled the blanked and snoozed for the next 2 hrs.

Woke in the morning, pulled up the shades. It was sunrise somewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Disembarkation was through stairs. Then was a long bus ride to terminal.

After deboarding the bus, headed up the escalator to the arrival area to head for the transit area.

After getting of the travelator, Had my passport and boarding pass checked to head upstairs in the departure area. Had security check done and settled to get my phone charged and connect to the internet using the free wi-fi.
