For me, keeping status is actually easier under the new program, because I fly a mix of longhaul J, longhaul cheap Y and shorthaul Y. Even cheap Y earns a considerable amount of XP, while I was never able to consistently get gold with either level miles or segments. That said, I won't earn lots of miles, though partner earnings are still fine. I suspect the value of miles we be devalued too. But as skypesos are not worth that much either, for as long as status has some value, I will stay at FB.
