I bought a premium Economy ticket with booking code P. I tried to upgrade to business using miles. The first agent said PE cannot be upgraded. That's wrong so I HUCA. The second agent said it couldn't be upgraded but could not tell me why. I DM' d AA and they said I have to change my booking code to Y or B. That makes no sense since those are Economy fares, not premium Economy fares. I have to downgrade to upgrade??? AAs web site says a Premium Economy must be booked in W on BA but says nothing about AAa and Iberia other than "excursion fares are not eligible." Anybody have insight on his?
