I'm a new Gold with a two night points stay here in late April. It's a family stay so myself, wife, plus 3 kids (cozy in a double) staying for the FIRST Robotics event at Cobo Center. I'm not sure how Marriott/this property handle families for lounge access & breakfast. Years as HH Diamond saw every property including kids in the same room for free breakfast despite the "Elite + 1" language in the benefits page. Does anyone know how Marriott / this property will likely handle breakfast? If I'm going to get hit with 3 additional charges I'd likely just go elsewhere. Also, this will be a Thursday-Saturday stay, so can anyone confirm the lounge schedule? The sticky thread shows closed on weekends but open for breakfast (so that means open Thursday night, but what about Friday as that's not clear). I'm assuming well behaved kids in the lounge is ok? (yes, kids experienced in visiting lounges, even addicted to bitter lemon from EU Hilton lounges, with the threat of death should they misbehave :-).
