I don't know if things are different now, but when I used to be a travel agent (over 10 years ago) schedule changes were queued through the system, and each agent would work through them one by one when they had a quieter moment. Sometimes it might be quick - the same day even, but other times a week or two or maybe more. So maybe your travel agent would have got around to it in due course.
Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't. I do remember looking at the fares a good month ago as a friend was interested in joining me, and couldn't find the flight (silly me for not investigating more!), so it's not a recent change.
Just annoying in this day and age of instant information that the BA app had updated, and yet no one had decided to send me an email. I had to do all the leg work. If I hadn't checked my booking, I might very well have turned up at the airport to find my flight left 12 hours earlier.
