I had a great stay here earlier this month. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. By the end of our stay we knew almost every staff member and all of them knew us. In my opinion it was the best team I've encountered at any hotel anywhere in the world.

We were upgraded to a Valley View room from the Mountain View room we had booked. The room overlooked the lawns and the valley. The hotel was always hosting one or two big groups and they did tend to make a lot of noise on the lawns. The day we were leaving they had a big wedding and had started working on building stages on the lawn early in the morning which was very noisy.

Heat in our room didn't work properly for the first 3 days of our stay. They would send up an engineer and it would seem to be OK but at night it would once again be freezing. Finally on the 4th day I told them to fix it or shift our rooms. This finally got them to send up the chief engineer and he managed to fix the heat. Considering it got to 0 every night it wasn't very pleasant. This was the only negative we faced during our stay. The GM did meet us the next day and checked if everything was OK.

As Golds we were also given access to the free buffet breakfast at the JW Cafe and "lounge" access from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. I say "lounge" because they don't really have a lounge. They offer food and drinks at one of their restaurants for Golds and Plats every evening. Some one from the F & B team would let us know where they were hosting the lounge every evening. Some days they have a buffet setup, other days they give you a menu and you can order of that. If you want some soup, salad or appetizer that's not on the buffet or menu they are more than willing to get it for you.

We also received 20% discount on all F & B. We ate most of our meals at the hotel so this was extremely useful. The hotel has 4 restaurants: Wisteria - Open air Italian food, Teppan - Asian food including a teppanyaki grill, Trout - Indian food & JW Café - Multi cuisine, they can make you pretty much anything you want. We had most of our meals at Wisteria and Teppan. Both were excellent. We also ordered room service a few times and food was good too.

Spa was execellent too. Spa price list - https://sanghvibrands.managemyspa.co...-47d36a25b2df#. They gave us 2 Rs. 500 discount vouchers at check-in.

In the summers they have an evening tea program with some snacks and live entertainment. In the winters the same program is held between 11:30 am - 12:30 pm since it's too cold in the evenings.

Hotel has a small adventure sport area in the open. They also have a game room in the basement which has Lego, books, video games, a 2 lane bowling alley, billiards, snookers, table tennis, foosball, etc.

They have several activities for children & for adults that run on a fixed schedule.

Overall an excellent stay.
