I applied in July 2017 and got my Police verification done on Aug 12th in Vishakhapatnam. After about 5 months I received an email from CBP that my application has been conditionally approved on Jan9th. On Jan 10, during lunch I checked and scheduled the interview for Jan10 itself, at TSA downtown Detriot (they have flexible timings and even have walk-ins). It only took 15-20 mins for them to verify passport, I94 and visa and confirmed the final approval with 5years validity from date of approval.
On psk portal my status since august till today is still “GEP Verification Process has been initiated on your application. Once inputs from all the concerned Government Authorities are received, the Report will be shared with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). No queries would be entertained in relation to your GEP application status at the Passport Offices and PSP Call Centre. You may contact CBP for further updates on the processing of your GEP application”
My advice to everybody is wait patiently for your conditional approval and it will come.

Thanks for sharing information. I have a few questions as you seems to be only approved Indian citizen for Global entry program on this forum.
Can you elaborate a little about yourself- Are you a F1/J1/H1B visa holder living in US? Did you try to contact RPO/CBP in those 5 months?
About me- I am a F1 visa holder living in US since 2016. I applied to Global entry program in Nov 2017 before my visit to India in December 2017. Had an appointment at Bhopal PSK and got PCC done at my local police station. Since then waiting to see change in the status of pending conditional approval. Do I need to do anything else or just wait for more time?
