Has anyone rented from National at Philip Goldson in Belize? Traveling there at the end of March and wondering what experiences folks have had at BZE, as I understand that this is a franchise location.

I am also curious what the fleet is like at this location. It seems to be compact, intermediate and full size SUVs only, which is fine. I am curious whether the intermediate SUV is likely to be a 4x4 as we are staying in a fairly off the beaten track Airbnb near San Ignacio and the host recommends 4 wheel drive.

I have Chase Sapphire Preferred card and understand that this covers loss, damage or theft as primary coverage in Belize, so long as I decline CDW. Is any additional coverage needed or recommended in Belize?
