So it seems like AC cancelled all their redeye flights to Montreal in May. Now I have a miss connect where my inbound flight arrives 8 hours after my outbound flight departs. Is it too late for them to reinstate YVR-YUL redeyes on a single widebody?

Original Aeroplan booking: YVR YUL Zurich Rome (stop for cruise) Istanbul Bangkok (destination) Hong Kong (stop) Taipei YVR, all in J, departing May 3. Must get to Rome by the 5th (originally arrive night of the 4th), but no availability on any star partner or AC flight in J for 3 (or even 1-2 for that matter).

Before I call, has anybody ever gotten Aeroplan to open 3 business class seats on a trans Atlantic flight? Ideally, would go on the YVR Frankfurt AC flight and then to Rome to cut down a connection. Is this even reasonable/possible?

Also, can I take advantage of the one free change to change my destination to Singapore without paying half the change fee
