Menu Select "Choose your meal preference" is blank, nothing to select

I'm preparing for my first QF flight. It's sale fare economy with no status, so I can't select a seat for free until 24 hours before departure. That seems to be the way airlines are going these days.

The website does show a Menu Select option which leads me to a screen with a picture that says Menu Select, but it's not an active link. Nor is the text below, which says "Choose your meal preference". Pop-ups are enabled but not present. The only active links are
- View our privacy statement
- Menu Select Terms & Conditions
- Back
- PRE-ORDER MEAL

If I click pre-order meal the next screen asks me to confirm my order, even though I have not been able to select anything.


What's going on?
