Yep, definitely a case where EF paid off. You won't have any access to the departure lounges like the Wing or Pier upon arriving in HKG. But absolutely when you depart HKG, though it's the Pier First Class lounge you'll want to visit, not the Wing (although the Wing is certainly nice, the Pier is the best).
If OP hasn't been to the Wing F before, that is well worth a visit too for the novelty of the Cabanas, IMHO. The lounge is relatively uncrowded in the early afternoon, prior to AA126's departure time, which hopefully translates a short or nonexistent wait time for one.
