For Flying Blue Gold you need 180 XP for Silver 100 XP. A return AMS-JFK in Business will get you 60 XP and a return AMS-LAX 72 XP. In Economy it's 20 and 24. A return in Europe will at least give you 30 XP in Business and 10 in Economy. It should not be too difficult to reach Gold Status.
