Thanks for all the replies so far, reassuring to know that I'm not the only one that frets about these things! I find I can only truly relax once I'm at the airport so I find the evening Oz flights a real killer as I spend all day worrying about all that could go wrong with the trip to the airport, at least with this upcoming flight I can just get up and go although I probably won't sleep very well I'm usually travelling on my own so it can be a bit tedious hanging around the terminal (no lounge access) but in this instance being with someone I will go with gingerlucy's suggestion of a nice brunch to get the holiday started.

My parents are worse than me though, the other day they got a taxi (also from Wilts) to T4 for a 20.00 flight and got picked up at 14.30 Luckily they were in business so had lounge access but even so!
