I've been sent the first Weather Guidelines for this event, but I suspect they have been circulating for a few hours so I don't think it should be difficult to call on this:
In lay terms it means that if you have a BA flight this week (up to and including Friday) you can now change it free of charge up to and including 21 March, without fee. You only need space in your cabin. To make these changes, first try BA.com. it may be enabled there. If not, ring the Contact Centre - note it may take a while to connect to an agent.
Howevers:
- one change only (this can sometimes be argued, but best work on the principle of making a good change rather than a soggy compromise)
- no changes to routes, so at the moment you can't switch to another city nearby, though you probably can request that at the airport if things get sticky / snowy.
- this is for flights which are
operating, a wider set of options come up if the flight is
cancelled.
Advice for British Airways-125 ticketed customers whose BA, AA, IB or AY flight is still OPERATING.
