When I look up the booking on BA, there is something wrong. It has my name, my wife's name, my mother's name and my lap infants name, but there is also another lap infant with presumably the same name as mine except it is spelled incorrectly. So on their reservation there are 5 people, two being infants, when in reality there is only 4 of us, 3 adults and one infant.
Maybe someone else has a similar situation or can point me in the right direction. I have spoken with BA over the phone twice. The first time they couldn't see the mistake, and told me I only have one infant and that it is the one with the incorrectly spelled name. The second time I called, I had them log on and look from the BA website and they saw the extra baby, but the guy told me it probably wouldn't be a problem because the AA booking is accurate. I called AA, and they can not see the wrong infant on their end at all and they only see four passengers.
I just don't want to get to the airport for travel and this become an issue for our international flight. Even if it isn't a problem on the way to Europe, I would hate for this to be a problem on my flight home from Norway when I check in with BA, as on the outgoing I am checking in with AA. I know the guy said it probably won't be a problem, but having flown a few million miles, you always hear one thing on the phone and there's usually a different reality at the airport.
Anyone have any idea of what to do or who to talk to/ask for, or has been in a similar situation, extra passenger in booking with wrong name, and what to do about it?
Thank you for any help.
I suspect that all is well and that there is only ticket for the infant. When a booking is set up to add infant seating sometimes the infant name is added to the adult name. In the booking it has adult name andthen in same field infant nane in brackets. Ifthis was done as well as them already being added as a child or added a different way then this could cause a duplicated name like this.
