E+ only adds value when flying TK - i.e. the upgrade vouchers. And of course the soft landing back to Elite. But making it to E+ during year 1 of E doesn't actually add much to the overall *G clock (versus just re-qualifying for E in year 1) if that makes any sense...
Not sure I understood what you are saying: extra miles accured on the first year will not count towards protecting my elite status? Ilmy understanding is that while trying achieve e+ it will still count towards protecting e even if I'm unsuccessful
