I find the best food on a plane to be that which doesn't have to be subject to the misery inflicted on it by the onboard ovens. So, excellent ingredients served without further cooking: caviar (in F), a nice pate perhaps (in J), and some top quality sourdough and high end butter (in both F and J and akin to that offered in QF J - the one thing I look forward to most on my trips within Oz).
Can one expect Caviar on trips within Oz? Genuine question? I hope so.
