UA 777-
200s also puzzle me.. .when I watch them take off, the engines frequently spew out long black smoke trails, especially at IAD. don't know what the deal is with that... it's like watching a school bus or dumptruck going down the road.
had plenty of rides on Delta's old L1011 back in the day... although at that time I was flying Delta a lot and always ended up in first.

(IMHO, the L1011 was one of the most beautiful airlines ever...

back to the UA 777-300ERs... what engines did the install on these new birds? are the the same brand/model of engines that AF and NH use on their 777-300ERs? (just had a big dinner and too lazy to look it up on airliner.net or something
