Certainly at startup when there is about 10 seconds of teeth-chattering vibration for each engine, and at take-off, but during cruise I couldn't really tell the difference - and if a little engine drone can drown out any snoring or talking as white noise, that's a bonus.
That reminded me of a question that I've been wondering about for the longest time.
Does UA's 777-300ER have some kind of special or cheap engines that cause the weird vibrations during startup? Or do they just cheap out and ordered them with less cabin insulation or somthing? I
never notice such vibration/noise on Air France(AF) and ANA(NH) 777-300ERs.... I always sit near the wings, if that makes any difference.
