I live 5 minutes from LAN and routinely fly out of GRR. GRR does have some UA service, as opposed to all UAX. Flights to GRR also seem to delay less than LAN.

I have flown LAN once since Skywest came aboard and the people seem friendlier and more service oriented than the ACA crew they replaced.

I have found airfare always cheaper from GRR.
