your boss was right, it has disappeared from the new hotels spg page. It seems Asian resorts are running a mile from the Marriott merger, first noticed the W phang nga, Sheraton Kalim Phuket, wonder who is next. Was planning a stay in Vietnam and for the first time in all my spg years am thinking of staying at Hyatt da nang instead of Sheraton grand where prices are almost double, no lounge or shuttle etc so for the price of a base room at the Sheraton I can actually book a suite with club access as have no status with Hyatt- maybe this is the turning point for me and my beloved spg!
