What credit card did you use to purchase the flight?

There is a chance that your card's trip delay benefit might activate at a delay of 6+ hours. If so, it seems like there may be a small possibility that a resulting expense, like reimbursement up to $300 or $500 (depending on the card) for a paid upgrade to Comfort+, is something you could fight for -- especially if it's a substitute for a hotel room and meals that you could have claimed while waiting for a flight tomorrow in your original (upgraded) fare class of Comfort Plus.

Obviously it would be a fight, but for high-value customers sometimes the card issuer and their benefits company will bend.
