It sounds like you should have a discussion with your bosses. If the risk of a change in plans is low enough they may be willing to buy you a cheap ticket now. The difference in price betweeb a cheap ticket now and a few days before a summer trans Atlantic trip may be huge.
It's an on-going discussion :-) It's boss's clients who actually do the buying and they're set up to do last minute tickets. I did decide to go ahead and boss will shoot for reimbursement and see what happens. Thanks!
