Trust me, I tried several non-standard menu options - kosher, vegetarian, seafood. Results were disappointing most times. Kosher food was somehow edible, vegetarian meals tasted like cardboard, without ay flavor and seafood caused food poisoning and lost day after arrival. As a result starting from last year I always bring my own food in enough quantity to last for whole flight.

So how many are you out there doing the same? I am not talking about food restriction cases when you'd bring your own food to any airline - I am talking about bringing your own food because UA's food is simply not edible.

Please note - I am not a snob or someone with unreasonable demands - I had no problem eating food on flights with other airlines - LH/TG/ANA/COPA. It is UA's food which is (exceptionally) bad.
Not defending UA's food for being great, but I've flown many TPACs in Y lately and I've found it to be edible and somewhat filling. Calling it inedible may be a stretch since I (and a few hundred others) were eating it on about 30 flights over the past 2 years)
