I agree with this advice. Definitely call HA and reserve a wheelchair for a 70 minute connection. In the future, if at all possible, just ask HA to book you on an earlier HA interisland flight.
When there are mobility issues, I really like to leave a little extra time in the schedule (a 2 hour connection would be idea in my opinion).
