I took the Maglev / Metro one way - little bit of a pain to be honest, involves multiple changes through quite busy stations in Central Shanghai. As an aside, the hotel car for the W is extremely expensive (noticeably more than, e.g., the St Regis for the same vehicle type). The hotel is happy to arrange a taxi on departure which is a fraction of the cost of the hotel car (but nowhere near as nice, obviously).
