I just don't think you get your money's worth in Hawaii. The prices are stratospheric whilst service is iffy and the hard product often does not add up. Plus ... lots of people ... and families with kids. And forget Hawaii at anytime remotely approaching holidays or school vacations. Unless you want beaucoup company.
