I might ask about the bag transfer at the Fauxlaris Club in the SFO International gate area tonight. The last time I did this, at HNL's UC after a transfer from Island Air, all I got was attitude. But my bag did make it home on the same flights as I was on. So maybe it's worth asking?
A long, long time ago, it used to be that passengers had to ask about bag transfers in connecting airports. So, the agents were used to that question or even asked the question themselves and wrote down the luggage tag number to call the handlers in the luggage area. I guess that changed with computerization.
