Since it's on a single ticket... the question is, what will HA do if you miss it? They will get you there, of course, but the question is, when? Their next flight is Monday. Will they stick you in a hotel for 2 nights? Or will they get you a ticket on AA or some other carrier that leaves later that day?

The funny thing is, there is a different itinerary that is almost exactly the same, except that the SAN-HNL segment is on AS 895 instead of HA. It gives you 15 more min in SAN (and 15 less min in HNL) and is (currently) $100 cheaper. Of course when you booked it, it might have been more expensive. Those extra 15 min though....
HA won't do anything. On the day of travel a misconnect becomes the responsibility of the carrier causing the delay. That would be AS if late. If on time, there is no misconnect if the passenger does what he is supposed to do.
