Thanks for the info. My case is arriving MCT-DEL on Jet Airways and departing DEL-HEL on Finnair 3.5 hours later. We will not be checking any bags. Will we have any problems with this? I've read various cases where people in the same type of situation did not need a visa or transit visa, but I guess it all depends upon the airline on the first leg, which is Jet Airways in our case. We will eventually go to India later in the year, so my main question is if we should apply for a multiple entry visa (1 American and 1 Brazilian) with our first stay being only 3.5 hours? This means that our flight itinerary sent to the Indian Visa Website will be 2 flights 3.5 hours apart. It would look strange. Or do we put our faith in Jet Airways Staff at the Muscat Airport that printed onward tickets from Delhi is good enough to board the flight to DEL?

Our trip plans for India changed, but we decided to keep the MCT-DEL flight, as it was simple to change the dates without change fees on our Finnair flight.
