Took a similar trip from SFO-MEX-SCL and this TR is spot on. AM has a great business class hard product on the 787-9, but thats about it. Everything else is horrible. I tweeted to the Pujol chef who they are paying to use his name on the menu since the food was so bad and AM replied that its not their fault food is bad since making food for planes is hard. Honestly the business class food was worse than many economy meals I have had on Asian airlines.
Worst of all is that I tried to get onto an earlier flight from MEX-SFO and was given the run around from agent to agent at MEX near L3 for over an hour. Told many lies, and most agents just don't want to work. Eventually was told plane was full and oversold multiple times at the desks, went to gate to be told same thing only to hear from friend on the plane that there were at least 3-4 empty seats. The airline is a hot mess.
