Weirdly enough after I booked one night using points and another using free chase night, the night using points brought up the $60/night fee but the Chase free night didn't. Tonight I called IHG rewards and they said there is not a resort fee on either points nights nor chase free night. Guess I'll see how it goes when I actually arrive.
Please let me know if you are able to waive the resort fee or what happens. I was planning on doing a week there in the summer, but that'll be over $400 in resort fees, absurd!
