Is there a way to know the exact fare class prior to booking? I went through and just did a dummy booking for SJC-YVR-YKA that will be Tango. I see that S T A L K earns reduced miles. But my worry is that it also lists F as a Tango fare which is 0 crediting to MP. I don't care about PQS but for a $600 coach ticket I better get some miles.
This might best be a question for the AC forum. If I look at the published fares and inventory for SJC-SKA for a random June roundtrip, I don't see F listed anywhere -- ExpertFlyer doesn't display any F inventory, nor are there any fares published that appear to map to F. Note that
all fare classes can now be either Tango or Flex, depending upon the market. I just don't see F being returned in a search; I see inventory values for JCDZPRYBMUHQVWGSTLAK, in order.
