Will they stick you in a hotel for 2 nights? Or will they get you a ticket on AA or some other carrier that leaves later that day?

The funny thing is, there is a different itinerary that is almost exactly the same, except that the SAN-HNL segment is on AS 895 instead of HA. It gives you 15 more min in SAN (and 15 less min in HNL) and is (currently) $100 cheaper. Of course when you booked it, it might have been more expensive. Those extra 15 min though....
an AS-AS connection in SAN is a way different ballgame than AS-HA. i could make a 15 minute connection in SAN from AS->AS but would be uncomfortable with a 60 minute connection, because of the terminal change that isn't connected airside.
