Its hit and miss depending who and how you talk. Last month I was on a N fare YYC-YEG-YYZ-DXB and my YEG flight was delayed nine hours.It was a Latitude Fare for North America so automatic upgrade when I booked. When I asked to be re-book to YYZ from YYC she saw I was in J, so they re-booked me in J and I received 150% AP and not the 125%. Last year in February when i was SE i upgraded on a bunch of fares when I was doing that silly contest and as I was in J, when i mis-connected they booked me in J fares.

So what I do know is that when I seek the assistance of these folks, I do not comes across as entitled, spoiled, corporate elite or SE DYKWIA! I am humbled, respectful with the attitude that they are helping me and I know what the rules are, so I am appreciative for any assistance they can provide.

Today its been a gongs how here in YVR as I am trying to go home early from TPE and every flight to YEG/YYC/YXE/YQR is over sold. I tried and failed but that is OK as I have my booked flight YVR-YYJ-YYC, confirmed, i was just trying to get home earlier.
