Not too sure when the Kimpton Hotel will be up and running this year, but if you are in time when it opens, you can consider it. The location seems to be pretty good and near MRT station:

Location: Two minutes away from Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station

HI Taipei is kind of out of the way and the surrounding area is dead at night.
