I would suggest keep checking regularly.
I saw huge fluctuation in price both cash and points about a month before the stay..
I booked 5 days using points last year in July and from a starting 240000 points it came down to 133000 points about 4 weeks before the arrival date.
As long as you have a flexible booking, book the new rate then cancel the old one.
