In saying that - I was offered a tooth brush, eye shades and ear plugs on my recent AUH to CDG flight on the A380 in Y... but I was also warmly welcomed as a Plat flyer (with VA) and given food first... and first option. The omelette was very nice! This was back in January.
My last flights where September 2017. On my two night flights I was given an amenity kit in Y (grey drawstring pouch with eye shade, ear plugs, socks, toothbrush and tooth paste). No kit was provided during the daytime flight in Y but that has always been the case for me since 2013. I was upgraded to J for one segment and I wasn't provided with an amenity kit but it was a daytime flight. As a Gold flyer I was also warmly welcomed on all flights and on one of them I was allowed to choose my meal option in advance.
Back to the main topic, I do recall one of my flights not being offered a snack where I always had been in the past on the same route.
