If you are on time, this is very do-able. Inter-island flight don't start boarding until about 20 minutes or so before the flight. So, you will want to get off your inbound plane fast (hopefully you are seated toward the front of the plane), and get the gate at which your OGG-bound departs. Assuming you have a boarding pass, no need to checkin at any counter--just be ready to hand your BPs to the gate agent when they call your boarding group.

Note: study the map I provided, because if your gates are in the 49-53 sector, you want to go directly there, not into the larger part of the Interisland terminal, where gate 54-61 are located.(tip: If you see moving pathways, you are headed to gates 54-61!)

Thank you so much! Yes I am a planner and definitely like to know as much as possible ahead of time to cut down on confusion later. This is our first time to Hawaii and using HA so I just have a lot of questions and want to make sure I am prepared as possible when the time comes. We are mid plane for the first flight but I think as long as we know where we are going beforehand we should be able to bob and weave our way around to get to our next gate lol! Mahalo!!
