It can be done...

Sharon, I assume you are talking about the long-haul flight upstairs on a 747. You can plug your own headphones into the jack in the F seats. I do this quite often with my Bose NC headphones.

Be aware, however, that although you can unplug the LH headphones, you cannot remove them. The cord is secured into position close to the jack. The only thing you can do is tuck the headphones into a crevice somewhere. Not the best solution, but it does work.

Regardless, you will enjoy the seats, the food, and the service. The fish dishes on LH are excellent.

Although every seat in F is great, try to get the exit row of 83A (window) or 83C (aisle). Note that there is a bar area in front of 83H and 83K, which the crew use as a base to serve drinks. It makes the area a little tight when compared with 83A and 83C.
