Transit time for Amsterdam (AMS) Schipol airport coming from India
Our family is planning to vacation in Switzerland this summer. We are from Mumbai, India and taking a flight to Zurich via Amsterdam. Our Jet Airways flight from Mumbai lands into Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) at 8:15 am Amsterdam local time and there is then a KLM connecting flight at 9:40 am to Zurich (that is, within 85 minutes). While these are two different carriers, Jet Airways and KLM are code share partners and hence I would imagine there would be through check-in of our luggage until Zurich.
But could someone please advise us if 85 minutes would be enough to transit between these two flights? We are traveling from India that is from a non-Schengen zone and hence would need to clear immigration and then move to the Schengen zone to take the Zurich flight. We have our parents who have both crossed 75 and hence not very fast with their movements. We are traveling via economy and would land into AMS on a Thursday morning if that is any consideration. Really grateful for your guidance and thanks.
