For airport experience (AA side) JFK and MIA have CLT beat - easy. Both have premium lounges whereas CLT only has an Admirals Club at this point. Flying JFK -> LAX means getting an A321T which is bearable in the MCE part of the cabin.

How much cheaper is routing through CLT and doesnt that mean a double connect out of MXP? MXP-???-CLT?

I'd lean towards MXP-JFK-LAX at this point.
