Flew SIR-ZRH yesterday, plane less full, lots of plane spotters at Sion airport. I had missed the bus from Sion gare and I didn’t want to walk to the airport in the rain, so the next bus got me there 30 minutes before departure. I feared security might have already closed, but there was no problem - everyone is so friendly in this small airport.

The inbound flight had flown LHR-SIR and was a bit late, apparently because they had had to wait an age for cleaning crews to turn up. The weather was piss poor, and there was nothing to see on this flight except a snippet of sunset just above the thick clouds. Rising out of the Rhône valley was a bit turbulent. The crew were lovely, no drinks run this time, but the same service of a sampler of sun cream and after sun, along with the SWISS chocolates offered from a basket. Flight duration was about 35 minutes this time.
