Could one or even some of the passengers have photosensitive epilepsy, which can be brought on by such as flickering TV screens etc?

If the screens were flickering (as opposed to displaying a 'normal picture') near a sufferer, covering up those screens in the vicinity, without denying everyone else forward and aft the benefit of the screens, could solve the problem.

But then if the screens can be individually raised/lowered why not raise them near the 'patient'? (That is, of course, assuming that if indiviual screens are 'raised' the rest work normally)?

Just a thought anyway.
