Dunkin' Donuts still doesn't have EMV here. I'm thinking they're doing a "highest fraud levels first" type rollout, as it's been multiple months since they've been first reported to have it. Same with BR, as despite most locations around here having EMV, I still run into a few without it on occasion.
Also, Whole Foods seems to have fixed whatever issue was preventing physical contactless MCs from being tapped. I was surprised as I was expecting to have to insert and/or attempt with Apple Pay on that same card. Still need to go to the car wash and see if I can tap my Diners Club MC there (or at least see if AP with the same card works), as that was the most recent failure I've had.
Additionally, there's a local pet store chain that may have disabled contactless. I remember all three methods showing up on the display right after scanning the first item before without needing cashier input, but only saw insert/swipe with the default Ingenico UI this time. If they have disabled it, I wonder if that's due to Visa's EMV contactless requirements.
BTW, has anyone tried Chase Pay with Shell? This sticker on the pump today looks pretty new:
It doesn't seem to be available at all Shell stations either per the app, as the one down the street from me doesn't show up and only that particular station appearing when I tried to pull up a list of nearby stations at the time of the photo. At least I don't need to download a Shell specific app. (Speaking of Shell specific, what's that icon to the left of the Chase Pay one?)
