It’s not like her, as she is exemplary and only gets the best feedback with everything.

The feeling that you were not a ‘big spender’ should not matter, ever — this is Aman. Utterly inexcusable. They get their fair share of (U)HNWI these days, but come on, Noi is not designed to be all about the Villa business at all, unlike Puri, and many like to stay in Pavilions. I am familiar with the villas but as I said a while ago, Noi is not a resort I want a villa, despite Gathy and despite how beautiful they are, again, unlike Puri.

I cannot help but think you caught them off guard entirely and they did not notice or care to notice, which is unlike them.

Nicolas P is Social Media conscious, so I wonder if he follows this thread and connects with you.

After the details you provided I get the feeling that the mishaps were not the main problem, but they rather failed to make things right for you eventually.

Nicolas knew I wasn't happy. If he didn't, he didn't pay attention to our conversation and doesn't have a good feel for his guests (which I doubt both), so I would be surprised if he said anything to me after the fact even if he kept up with this post. There was just something "off" about everything on this stay, and in some ways it is hard to put into words just the feeling you get. That can go either way too as I would say I have had stays at various properties that I can't put into words how great it was or how welcome I felt.

To be honest I have never complained to management about anything at an Aman (never had a reason to), so I wouldn't even know what to expect to "make things right". It seemed to me that their "make things right" was just to make sure housekeeping was sent to the room, but housekeeping is supposed to come into my room multiple times a day. So this just turns into just making sure they meet basic service expectations which sort of just makes me want to explain things with an eye roll emoji.

We don't need to keep harping on things here, I just wanted to provide my feedback on the stay as I always appreciate stay reports on here both good and bad.
