The four round-trip tickets were bought 50% via Chase Reward Points and 50% via credit card payment w/my Chase Visa Card.
The OP mentioned nothing about a 50% discount.
I disagree with the "math concept is not easy for most people." Points are worth 50% more equates to a 33% discount. It's not rocket science.
