I've flown in and out of LGA on DL flights over the past months, mostly using the M60 and Q70 buses along with the Red Line shuttle bus to the Rental Car pickup by the Marine Air Terminal and it's been relatively painless. DL recommends clearing TSA security at Terminal D and walking to C gateside to avoid longer lines a C.
